Stool

Designed and manufactured a stool as a school project. Stool is made from 18mm and 2mm birch plywood. Minimalistic and functional.
Sketching the concept. I wanted stool to have flowing round form.
First prototype from lasered from cardboard. The concept was too complex and required too much woodwork. Idea was to keep the basic shape same but reduce used materials.
The final form and measurements were defined using cad software. This model minimized material loss in manufacturing process.
Stool legs were cnc machined from 18mm birch plywood.
The top part was attached to the legs using wood glue. Thin plywood was surprisingly durable when glued to the form. Originally the plywood was supposed to be thicker but this was perfect choice.
